May 2020 Edition

As AMGA members nationwide respond to COVID-19, telemedicine has become an invaluable tool for managing care for patients with chronic conditions. In the sections below, we’ve collected resources that may be particularly helpful as you develop, implement, or refine your telehealth offerings for diabetes care.

We’d also like to highlight an article on dramatic innovation in telehealthpublished in Healthcare Innovation and written by our very own Dr. John Kennedy, president, AMGA Foundation, and chief medical officer, AMGA. The article features three T2G participants – Billings Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and Inova Health System – discussing the rapid changes that have occurred in their telehealth programs in response to COVID-19. We also encourage you to leverage all the insights and resources contributed by AMGA members to the AMGA COVID-19 resource library. The resource library is constantly being updated, creating a timely and robust compilation of tools from others on the frontline, so be sure to check back frequently for the latest information.

We hope that you stay healthy and safe during this challenging time. If your organization has any tips, tools, or insights you’d like to share relating to your experience with COVID-19, please let us know.
