Dr. Williams began her clinical practice with HealthPartners (then Group Health) in 1991 and has had leadership responsibilities within HealthPartners since 1998. In her current role, Rae Ann is primarily responsible for the health and patient experience outcomes of the 11 clinics in her region.
Dr. Greenwood has been with Intermountain Medical Group since 2003. He has led improvement efforts around population health, chronic disease management, and most especially healthy lifestyle and disease prevention.
Valerie Spier has 17 years of direct patient care experience as a diabetes educator at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. In 2017, she joined the Sutter Health Quality and Clinical Effectiveness Team (1/2 time) as a consultant which includes the role of SHIDEN quality coordinator (AADE accredited DSMES services).
Dr. Colangelo practices as an internist and has served as Chief Quality Officer of Premier Medical Associates since 2008. He has led numerous successful population health and quality improvement efforts for the practice. He earned a Masters in Healthcare Quality and Safety from Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Population Health, and is currently an instructor for the college.
In addition to her quality roles, Dr. Koenig is a practicing primary care internist. She serves Mercy Clinic East Communities, which includes more than 800 physicians caring for patients in St. Louis. During her tenure, Mercy has been recognized for quality on the state and national levels.
Janet Appel has over 30 years of experience in nursing with a focus on the development of inpatient and outpatient programs to engage patients in self-care and has worked to improve quality and outcomes in all healthcare settings.
Dr. Spano-Brennan has been practicing for 8 years. She is particularly interested in treatment and prevention of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure and coronary artery disease, as well as in the detection and evaluation of cardiovascular disease in women.
Dr. Jameson is a board-certified and fellowship-trained endocrinologist. His clinical interests include diabetes; thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders; and metabolic bone diseases.
Dr. Shablin is a practicing internist and has been highly involved in quality throughout the Lehigh Valley Health Network. He is a member of the Quality Executive Committee, Quality Management Council, and several local diabetes initiatives. He has an MS in biomedical science and is a former database programmer.
Dr. Hines is board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He helps to implement the clinical programs necessary to deliver value based care, including the development of best practice guidelines, a variation reduction program, and other quality initiatives.
Dr. Combs is board certified in pediatrics and has been practicing since 1995. He received his Doctor of Medicine, AOA, from East Tennessee State University and completed Pediatric residency at Duke University where he served as Chief Resident. He is a Certified Physician Executive and he completed the Executive Development Program at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
